That’s the power in Contend. Use it to protect fairways from pink and gray snow mold. Bank on it for performance. And make sure you get it fast. Purchases this year must be made on or before December 7, 2016. In addition, purchases of Contend contribute to your qualification for yearlong rebates and rewards through the GreenTrust® 365 Golf Program.

Chemistry with Horsepower
The Contend Snowpack includes two separately registered products, Contend A and Contend B, which should be tank-mixed together. The innovative chemistry combines one new active ingredient (Solatenol® fungicide) and three industry-leading active ingredients for extended control of snow mold at multiple stages of disease development.

Active ingredients:

  • Solatenol (FRAC Group 7) (trade name for Benzovindiflupyr), a new active ingredient for the turf market, is a third-generation SDHI that strongly binds to the plant’s waxy layer and slowly penetrates the tissue. This binding, plus translaminar activity, delivers long-lasting disease control.
  • Difenconazole (FRAC Group 3)
  • Propiconazole (FRAC Group 3)
  • Azoxystrobin (FRAC Group 11)

Snow Mold Assurance
Contend is now included in the Snow Mold Assurance Program from Syngenta.
According to the 2ee label, apply Contend A at 1.0 fl. oz./1,000 ft.2 tank-mixed with Contend B at 2.6 fl. oz./1,000 ft.2  for 120+ days of guaranteed control of pink and gray snow mold on your fairways.
