Syngenta is launching the GreenCast^® Turf App, available for both Apple^® and Android™ smartphones and tablets. The GreenCast Turf App is a free record-keeping application designed to streamline the tank-mixing calculation and record-keeping process. By recording more efficient and accurate spray applications and calculations, the app helps promote responsible stewardship and best practices for pesticide applications.

“We recognize the importance of precise tank-mixing and product rates for optimized application as well as environmental stewardship,” says Stephanie Schwenke, turf market manager at Syngenta. “This new app simplifies communication and application planning through accurate tank-mixing calculations. These plans can be easily saved and shared with your applicators in English or Spanish.”

The Greencast Turf App allows users to input sprayer details including tank size, spraying volume, driving speed and acreage specific to their location. With these details, the app generates a specific tank-filling plan that includes both product and water volume. For easy reference, calculations may be saved for future use.

To support sharing, tank-mix plan reports may be emailed in multiple file formats including PDF and CSV, and they are also saved within the application for convenient record keeping. Additionally, these reports include information required by government agencies, including date and time of applications, driving speed, weather conditions during the applications, nozzle details, active ingredients used, quantity and more.

The app is also available in Spanish to help reduce the risk of errors or misinterpretation of verbal or written instructions.
