By Lane Tredway, Ph.D., technical services manager for SyngentaWith adults up to 2 in. long, mole crickets are the largest insect pests in turf and can also be the most destructive. When mole cricket populations are high, their tunneling and feeding activity can decimate large areas of turf in no time.
AtexzoĀ® insecticide/miticide is a powerful option for control of mole crickets and other important pests of southern turfgrass including billbugs, bermudagrass mites, sod webworms and armyworms.
No other product controls this range of insects.New mode of action- Powered by PLINAZOLINĀ® technology, Atexzo works through a unique mode of action in IRAC Group 30 with no known cross-resistance to other insecticide chemistries.
Unique control spectrum for southern insects- A single application of Atexzo at 8 fl. oz./A controls mole crickets for up to 6 months.
- Atexzo also controls hunting billbugs, bermudagrass mites, sod webworms and fall armyworm when used as part of a program.
Flexible application timing and method- Atexzo controls adults and all nymphal stages of mole crickets, so it can be applied at any time of year when mole crickets are active.
- Unlike other options for mole cricket control, Atexzo does not require a custom application and does not require immediate irrigation. Simply spray, allow to dry and water-in with at least 1/8 in. of irrigation within 24 hours.
